Cases are decreasing and vaccination is advancing. First, the official detailed that the state has accumulated 5,242 confirmed cases as of March 23, with a significant reduction in daily infections. "We see a scenario in which, in this trend, we have been on a downward trend for almost a month. At the beginning of the month, on some of those days, up to 124 cases were counted, and from the day before yesterday to yesterday, only 24 cases. This downward trend has been practically the entire month, and conversely, there is an upward trend in vaccine application. Meanwhile, we continue with the vaccination campaigns." He also highlighted that vaccination coverage has been increasing, with more than 2.86 million doses administered between 2025 and 2026, which has helped contain the spread of the virus. Reinforcing actions before the vacation period. On the other hand, Rivera Ávila explained that, with the approach of Holy Week, strategies have been intensified in areas of higher incidence, especially in schools and daycares. "The truth is that we insist on these last two or three weeks before the vacation period or Holy Week and Easter in schools." In this sense, health brigades have gone to schools identified on risk maps, in addition to visiting private daycares to administer advance doses to children. "We do not consider that [the outbreak] is already under control, but we are on the way to controlling measles."
