Mexico will face extreme weather conditions on Sunday, April 5, due to the interaction of Cold Front 43 with a polar air mass, an upper-level trough, and atmospheric instability. While some states expect a hot and muggy environment, others will not see a temperature rise. On Saturday, a new 'Norte' event is forecast, with wind gusts of 60-80 km/h in Tamaulipas, Veracruz, and the Isthmus and Gulf of Tehuantepec, causing a new drop in temperatures in the north, center, and east of the country. The National Meteorological Service (SMN) also highlighted the probability of snow or sleet falling on the peaks of the Popocatépetl, Iztaccíhuatl, and Pico de Orizaba volcanoes. For this Sunday, April 5, a heat wave will continue in states such as Jalisco, Michoacán, Guerrero, and Oaxaca, where a hot environment with maximum temperatures between 40 and 45 degrees Celsius is expected. During this day, the heat wave will prevail in these areas.
