The International Lead Poisoning Prevention Week, held from October 20 to 26 under the slogan "A Bright Future Begins Without Lead," marked a significant milestone in the fight against the harmful effects of lead. Pure Earth Mexico reaffirmed its commitment to closely collaborate with various stakeholders to address this crisis that primarily affects the most vulnerable and work towards a safe and healthy environment for children.
The launch of the Lead Exposure Action Fund (LEAF) by Open Philanthropy represents another significant advance in this process. As a recipient of this fund, Pure Earth has the opportunity to focus on measuring and mitigating lead exposure in various countries, thereby helping to protect the health of future generations.
