Medical Expo 2023 Promotes National Health Innovations

The seventh edition of Medical Expo kicked off in Mexico, showcasing over 1,500 brands related to medical devices and technologies. Key industry players discussed the importance of developing national manufacturing and fostering international collaboration.


At the Medical Expo, held in its seventh edition, prominent figures from the medical sector gathered to discuss the importance of strengthening the national medical device industry and fostering international collaboration. At the event, over 350 exhibitors presented more than 1,500 brands in medical technologies and various devices.

During the inauguration, experts, entrepreneurs, and health authorities emphasized the need to promote the development of locally manufactured medical devices and facilitate import and export processes to close the technological gap with other countries. The president of the Jalisco Medical Cluster, Georgina García, the CEO of the Mexican Consortium of Hospitals, Pablo B. Ricalde Alarcón, and other leaders from the sector shared their vision at this meeting.

In a context where the medical device industry sees potential for significant growth and greater access to cutting-edge technologies, the importance of establishing strategic alliances and promoting innovation in health was highlighted. In this regard, the relevance of promoting international collaboration to improve healthcare and reduce technological dependence on foreign countries was emphasized.

The event featured the presence of notable figures from the sector, including the vice president of the Association of Private Hospitals, Carlos Rubén Arce Ruelas, and the president of the National Health Commission of Coparmex, Dr. Rodrigo Oria. During the discussions, the need to incentivize innovation in the health sector and invest in the growth of the medical device industry at the national level was made evident.
