The authorities of Mexico City conducted a search in a luxury vehicle that had a theft report and was being displayed at the Car Museum, located in the Coyoacán borough. This event generated controversy on social media due to the vehicle's location and the possible implications of cover-up.

Agents from the Citizen Security Secretariat (SSC) and the Attorney General's Office (FGJ) entered the museum on January 20, where more than 100 classic and antique cars are displayed. There, they found a black Jaguar truck valued at approximately 2 million pesos that was being exhibited and had an active theft report.

During the search, authorities confirmed that the stolen vehicle was being displayed and that the theft report remained valid. This finding sparked controversy on social media for having a stolen vehicle publicly and visibly in the museum, leading to suspicion of an alleged cover-up.

The Car Museum, which has had its facilities closed for two years, raised questions among internet users about how long the truck had been inside the premises. After the vehicle was recovered by SSC personnel, it was made available to the public prosecutor's office once the search was concluded.
