The body of Karla Patricia Cortés, a 41-year-old mother, was found with a gunshot wound to the head and signs of violence on her face. Her vehicle, a white Suzuki Ertiga, was found elsewhere. The femicide of Karla Patricia Cortés Cervantes shocked many, including her daughter, Brisa García, who has expressed her determination to fight for the justice her mother deserves.

Following a joint operation between the Investigative Police (PDI) of Mexico City and the Attorney General's Office of Guanajuato, Cristopher was arrested in León, accused of the femicide of Karla Patricia in Azcapotzalco. The detainee allegedly requested a transport service through the Uber platform on December 29 around 7:15 PM, and it is presumed that the crime occurred around 8:00 PM.

The case gained relevance on social media due to Karla's disappearance while working as a driver for Uber. The protests that followed demanded greater protection for female drivers on the platform and that the case be clarified as femicide, instead of intentional homicide as it had initially been classified.

Following the arrest of Cristofer "N", he was notified of his constitutional rights and was subsequently transferred to the Preventive Detention Center East, where he remains at the judge's disposal. The outrage over the femicide of Karla Patricia Cortés has motivated mobilizations led by her daughter Brisa García and various feminist collectives in search of justice.
