The director of TVyNovelas, Gilberto Barrera, has made statements regarding the controversy surrounding Danna Vázquez, who received threats after revealing an investigation into alleged fraud on the show 'Who is the Mask?'. The magazine TVyNovelas published details of the TelevisaUnivision investigation into a possible leak of information about contestants.
In an interview on Jessie Cervantes' show, Barrera mentioned that a key producer revealed that Danna Vázquez is seeking revenge for being exposed in the magazine. According to him, Vázquez is trying to harm him. Barrera stated that their publication did not aim to attack the publicist but to expose the alleged leak on the show.
Barrera also clarified that, as a result of the investigation, Danna Vázquez has been banned from Televisa and has lost her relationship with the Teatro de los Insurgentes, owned by the television network. Despite the threats received, Barrera assured that the magazine did not intend to discredit Vázquez as a professional.
