Imelda Tuñón and Maribel Guardia have become the center of attention due to details that the young artist recently revealed about an alleged infidelity by Marco Chacón towards Maribel Guardia, which is said to have triggered a custody dispute over their son. As a result of this legal conflict, the granddaughter of the Mexican actress was placed under guardianship, and amidst this situation, Imelda Tuñón spoke to a group of reporters about how her relationship with her former mother-in-law deteriorated.
In a recounting of Marco Chacón's alleged infidelity, Imelda Tuñón mentioned: "Marco was the first to mention this: Surely you are on drugs. I think it comes from all the baggage he carries against me because of his infidelity." This revelation from Tuñón sheds light on the rift in the relationship between her and Maribel Guardia, triggered by the discovery of Chacón's alleged infidelity with one of his former students.
In the midst of the anguish over her son's future and under media pressure, Imelda Tuñón decided to break the silence and clarify that in the past she had lied when denying her mother's statements to avoid issues. Tuñón stated: "I think it's been a while since I discovered Marco Chacón's infidelity with a former student of his, and well, from that point, it really fractured. I had to say to the media that my mom had lied when she didn't lie, and we have the evidence."
In response to speculation about a possible revenge behind this legal conflict, Imelda Tuñón declared that she does not know the true reasons behind the dispute but mentioned the reasons that led her to distance herself from Maribel Guardia almost two years after Julián Figueroa's death. In her own words: "I don’t know if it’s revenge or if it has to do with the fact that we were only there for a week and wanted to leave the house. Because I had already spoken with my psychiatrist, my grandmother, and many people who told me it was time to withdraw because it will be almost two years since Julián's passing."
Amidst all this controversy, Imelda Tuñón also mentioned that Marco Chacón was dating one of his former students from the university for 2 or 3 years, which sheds more light on the complexity of the situation.
