President Claudia Sheinbaum led her ‘morning’ conference on Monday, January 27, from the National Palace, accompanied by the head of the Ministry of Agrarian, Territorial and Urban Development (Sedatu), Edna Vega; the head of Infonavit, Octavio Romero; and Rodrigo Chávez from Conavi.
Sheinbaum celebrated that Colombia and the United States have reached an agreement on the deportation of migrants and tariffs.
The head of Infonavit, Octavio Romero, explained the functioning of a corruption scheme related to mass lawsuits, where beneficiaries were sued in states such as Chihuahua, Tamaulipas, and Nuevo León, but the trial took place in Nayarit, affecting people who did not live in the entity where the process was opened.
Edna Vega, head of Sedatu, announced that in February, the construction of the first houses of the Welfare Housing program would begin. For his part, Rodrigo Chávez from Conavi added that they would also start rehabilitating houses, with the goal of building 50,000 homes in 18 entities by 2025.
Regarding housing improvement, up to 100,000 improvement cards will be delivered in the eastern region of the State of Mexico, benefiting municipalities such as Chalco, Ecatepec, and Tlalnepantla, among others.
On the subject of basic basket prices, the head of Profeco warned about supermarkets where an excess of up to 300 pesos is recorded. He highlighted that some establishments sell the basic basket at more affordable prices, such as Chedraui Campeche, Soriana Súper Libertad, Tijuana, Bodega Aurrera Tampico, and Chedraui Tuxtla Crystal in Tuxtla Gutiérrez.
The head of Profeco recalled that the ‘Here they fly over the fence’ operation continues to expose gas stations selling the most expensive fuel. Citizens were invited to collaborate in the process by identifying establishments with high prices so that they can be verified.
Some of the gas stations that were ‘exposed’ with banners for high prices were Pemex Gas Station in Nuevo León, Mobil Gas Station in Michoacán, G500 Gas Station in Hermosillo and Huimanguillo, and Las Lomas Gas Station in Hermosillo.
