Transporters block roads in Edomex canceled

Transporters in the State of Mexico canceled the road block planned for today after dialogue with the state government. Despite the cancellation, heavy traffic persists in several areas, particularly on the Mexico-Toluca avenue heading towards Mexico City.

The FREC Union, in a statement, explained that they decided to suspend the protest action after reaching an agreement with the state government, emphasizing that the initial conflict arose at the municipal level, specifically accusing the Mobility Directorate and other local authorities of negligence.

The transporters expressed their concern over what they considered unfair acts against workers in the industry and stated that, despite the cancellation, they will take more decisive measures in the future if their demands are not addressed.

Although the planned blockade was avoided, traffic continues to be an issue in certain areas of the State of Mexico. Drivers are advised to take precautions and seek alternative routes to avoid delays, due to the heavy traffic reported in various locations within the state.

In summary, despite the cancellation of the transporters' blockade, traffic persists in some areas of the State of Mexico, which could be due to factors such as roadworks or the usual flow of traffic during peak hours. Therefore, motorists are advised to stay informed about current road conditions and take necessary measures to avoid setbacks in their travels.
