The president of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, reaffirmed her stance in favor of the unity of Latin America and the Caribbean during her regular press conference. Sheinbaum highlighted that the history of Mexico is based on regional solidarity and that they will always seek to strengthen it.

In response to a question from a journalist, the president mentioned the importance of the continent becoming an economic power while respecting the sovereignty of each country. Although she acknowledged the trade relationship with the United States, she insisted on the need to strengthen Latin American unity.

Sheinbaum also mentioned the importance of maintaining communication and coordination with progressive leaders in the region, emphasizing the common identity they share. In this sense, she stressed that Mexico will continue to maintain its relationship with Latin America and that it is the desire of both the Mexican people and the government.
