Imelda Tuñón gave details about her legal conflict with Maribel Guardia in an interview with Gustavo Adolfo Infante. The widow of Julián Figueroa opened up about the process to recover her son, who is currently under the responsibility of his paternal grandmother. Recently, the Attorney General's Office of Mexico City determined that Maribel Guardia must assume custody of little José Julián, after exposing the behavior of Imelda Tuñón, who was pointed out for her addiction to drugs and alcohol.
In the interview, Imelda highlighted the irregularities in the case and mentioned the existence of an alleged influence peddling by her mother-in-law. To address these allegations, Imelda made her toxicology tests public, which came back negative.
In response to Maribel Guardia's press conference, Imelda Tuñón expressed her discomfort with the situation. She explained that she feels cornered, as Maribel does not give her the chance to defend herself and proposes that she publicly pay for her rehabilitation. Furthermore, she clarified that in her recent tests she was not diagnosed with bipolar disorder, but with attention deficit and hyperactivity, emphasizing the importance of relying on concrete evidence.
Imelda assured that the expenses of the apartment where she will live with José Julián will be covered by her earnings, and that the home is equipped with everything necessary to live without worries. Regarding Maribel's actions, Imelda pointed out that she does not know if they are related to Joan Sebastian's inheritance, but she believes they may be motivated by fear. She emphasized that she feels she is starting a new cycle in her life and that Maribel's attitudes towards her seem part of a defamation campaign.
Regarding the public image of both, Imelda expressed her perception that whenever Maribel speaks publicly, she does so to attack her, while she has refrained from speaking ill of the actress. Imelda concluded that in this entire conflict, the most important thing is the well-being of her son and that her focus is on creating a healthy environment in which he can grow.
