Governor of Sinaloa Collaborates with Mexico's President on Security Plan

The governor of Sinaloa, Rubén Rocha Moya, has faced criticism for insecurity in his state and alleged ties to organized crime. In response, he offered to collaborate with President Claudia Sheinbaum within the framework of Plan México during his weekly conference. Rocha Moya expressed his government's willingness to contribute to working groups on security, trade, and migration between Mexico and the United States.

In his statements, the governor showed his commitment to supporting the policies of Plan México, focused on the economy, trade interdependence, and the fight against drug and arms trafficking. He welcomed the agreements reached by Sheinbaum and President Trump, highlighting the importance of dialogue and diplomacy to strengthen relations between the two countries.

Since August of last year, Rocha Moya has been linked to criminal groups and accused of his alleged involvement in homicides and violence in Sinaloa. He has even been accused of being involved in the assassination of a political rival. These accusations have been supported by testimonies, videos, and flyers dropped from planes in various municipalities of the region.

Despite the criticism and allegations, the governor of Sinaloa maintains his position to cooperate with federal and state authorities to strengthen security and international relations. However, the accusations against him continue to generate controversy and questioning about his management amid the security crisis affecting the region.
