The Attorney General of Justice of Morelos presented before the Chamber of Deputies the request for impeachment against federal deputy and former governor of Morelos, Cuauhtémoc Blanco Blanco, for the crime of attempted rape. Prosecutor Uriel Carmona confirmed that the evidence provided by the victim, identified as his half-sister, is sufficient to presume the commission of the crime by Blanco.
Cuauhtémoc Blanco's half-sister, Nidia Fabiola 'N', accused that at the end of 2023, in one of the rooms of the residence that current governors can occupy, the then governor of Morelos attempted to sexually assault her. According to Nidia Fabiola's narrative, Blanco received visitors at the residence during the day, and at night he tried to sexually subdue her, but she managed to defend herself.
The victim's lawyer revealed that Nidia Fabiola has been threatened by her own father and by another half-brother of Cuauhtémoc Blanco, Ulises Bravo Molina, who previously was the national delegate of the Morena party in Morelos. In light of the threats, Nidia Fabiola asked various authorities not to defend Blanco so that justice can be served in her case.
In an interview, the prosecutor of Morelos, Uriel Carmona, stated that no one will be protected in this case and that society has the right to know about it. Carmona expressed that he hopes there will be no political reactions against him, as the request for impeachment against Blanco is in compliance with the law and does not represent any act of revenge. He clarified that it is the deputies who will process the impeachment request and that the Attorney General's Office does not have the possibility to promote it.
