The authorities of Mexico City continue investigations regarding the human remains and clothing found in a femicide case. On Wednesday, February 6, searches were conducted at three addresses in the Xochimilco borough, where two individuals were arrested for drug possession and a clandestine grave was found.
At the third address, located on Camino a San Pablo Xochimilco, a grave with possible human remains was discovered, which was secured for further investigations. Authorities reported that images of the two arrested and implicated in the femicide that occurred on January 3 were spread on social media.
Three search warrants were executed following the investigation into the murder of a 50-year-old woman, committed in Xochimilco on January 3. The culprits of the femicide fled on a motorcycle, identified by C2 Oriente, which led the authorities to carry out the searches.
At the two previous addresses, located in the San Andrés and Santa Cruz Acalpixca neighborhoods, a woman and a man were detained with drugs in their possession. At the last address, on Camino a San Pablo Xochimilco, the clandestine grave with human remains inside was found, which is still under investigation by the authorities.
