The Secretary of Security of Nuevo León, Gerardo Escamilla Vargas, announced that the National Guard has recently deployed 600 personnel at the border between Nuevo León and the United States. Furthermore, he informed that Fuerza Civil will support with elements from its three nearby detachments.

"The border program has been implemented, and the National Guard will deploy more than 10,000 men," highlighted Escamilla Vargas. He expressed that the rising indicators are due to the proactivity of the authorities and the coordinated work between different agencies, such as the raids by federal and local prosecution. "Increasing the numbers means that the phenomenon is being addressed, but we will also tackle its causes," he added.

Regarding the increase in crimes such as drug dealing, extortion, and kidnappings in the region, the Secretary of Security assured that the records are on the rise due to the detections and proactive actions by the authorities. During the week in question, seven firearms were seized, 11 vehicles were confiscated, and a total of 35 people were arrested. Escamilla Vargas emphasized that they are working with previously gathered information and have achieved significant arrests in collaboration with the federal government.

Concerning coordination with the federation, Escamilla Vargas stressed that they have carried out key arrests without providing specific details in this regard. The kilometers covered by Nuevo León are strengthened by National Guard personnel, totaling over 600 elements in the area.

The official emphasized that they will focus on two fundamental aspects: providing humanitarian treatment to migrants and combating the trafficking of synthetic drugs to the neighboring country. "Fuerza Civil has reinforced bases, in coordination with the National Guard, at the Vallecillo and Villaldama detachments; we are joining the coordination invited by the federal government," added Escamilla Vargas, mentioning that two additional Fuerza Civil bases have been deployed without revealing the exact number of elements.
