
On Saturday, February 15, Víctor Hugo Chávez Martínez resigned from his position as Secretary of Citizen Security and Protection (SSPC) of the state of Tabasco, Mexico, for personal reasons. This resignation comes at a time of increasing violence and insecurity in the region.
In response to this situation, the governor of Tabasco, Javier May, announced that the new Secretary of Citizen Security and Protection of the state will be Master Serafín Tadeo Lazcano. This appointment has the support of the President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum, and the Secretary of Citizen Security and Protection, Omar García Harfuch.
Additionally, Jesús Amaya Guerrero will take on the role of State Police Commissioner, in what is considered a strategic move for the safety of the people of Tabasco. According to the Commissioner of the Federal Protection Service Francisco Moreno Montaño, these changes reflect the trust placed in professionals with experience and commitment to the Tabasqueña society.
Commissioner Francisco Moreno commented on this: "It's time to strengthen security to build a better future for everyone!" The importance of addressing the root causes of insecurity was highlighted, through social programs and collaboration with federal authorities such as the Ministry of National Defense and the Ministry of Navy.
With these moves, the government of Tabasco reaffirms its commitment to work in conjunction with local and federal authorities to reduce violence rates and protect families in the state.
