Inés Gómez Mont: the missing host

Inés Gómez Mont has stayed away from television and the media since her participation in the show 'En sus batallas' in 2021, as she has focused on caring for her children. However, her absence has garnered attention due to the legal troubles she is involved in.

For several years, Inés Gómez Mont and her husband, Víctor Hugo Álvarez Puga, have faced accusations of crimes such as organized crime, money laundering, and tax fraud. They are alleged to have laundered more than 3 billion pesos through fraudulent contracts with the Ministry of the Interior between 2016 and 2017, using shell companies to conceal the illicit origin of the funds.

In 2020, the Attorney General's Office (FGR) began an investigation against her, and in October 2021, Interpol issued a red notice to seek the location and arrest of Inés Gómez Mont and her husband in over 190 countries. Despite attempts to obtain a protective injunction to avoid her arrest, it was denied.

Inés Gómez Mont has also been recently mentioned for sending condolences over the death of Daniel Bisogno, a former colleague on the show 'Ventaneando.' In a special prepared by the program in tribute to Bisogno, it was mentioned that the host had sent a message of support, although details about its content were not provided.

Inés Gómez Mont's television career includes appearances on programs such as 'Los 25+', 'Ventaneando,' and '¡Cuéntamelo Ya!', as well as in sports segments on TV Azteca. One of her most memorable moments on television was during the Media Day of Super Bowl XLII, where she approached then-quarterback Tom Brady dressed as a bride.

Her last appearance on television was in a reality show called 'Familias Frente al Fuego,' which sought the best cooking family in the country. Despite having low viewership, the program had only one season before being canceled, in contrast to the continued success of shows like 'MasterChef.'
