
Federal deputy Norma Aceves García, from the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI), passed away on March 2, generating sorrow and recognition for her tireless work in favor of Human Rights. Members of the PRI Parliamentary Group of the LXV and LXVI Legislatures expressed their sadness and highlighted Aceves García's legacy, emphasizing her bravery and dedication.
Norma Aceves García stood out for presenting a total of 138 initiatives, of which 12 were successfully approved, as well as 37 Points of Agreement, nine of which were approved. Her proposals were aimed at benefiting people with disabilities, the elderly, children, and adolescents, women, and animals. Among her proposals were measures to guarantee the independent living of people with disabilities, to consider obstructing access to public establishments with support animals as discrimination, and to ensure accessibility through tactile guides.
Norma Aceves García held a degree in Administration from the Autonomous University of the State of Hidalgo, in addition to having master's degrees in Education and Law. Her commitment and passion for the country left an indelible mark on the PRI and on all those who had the privilege of knowing her and collaborating with her.
Alejandro Moreno, national president of the PRI, deeply mourned the loss of Norma Aceves, highlighting her tireless struggle and her dedication to defending the rights of people with disabilities. Moreno emphasized that Aceves's legacy inspires continuing forward with strength and commitment and sent his condolences to the family and loved ones of the deceased deputy.
