The Jalisco Prosecutor's Office is reviewing possible omissions in the incursion that took place in September 2024 at the Izaguirre Ranch, located in Teuchitlán, after a clandestine crematorium was discovered at this site. It has been identified that the site was used as a safe house, training camp, and extermination site for organized crime groups. It has been stated that officials will be sanctioned in accordance with the law if necessary.
Since September 2024, when the National Guard intervened at the Teuchitlán ranch, various measures have been taken. 10 people were arrested, two were released, and one deceased person was found wrapped in plastic. Since then, the place has been under the protection of the state Prosecutor's Office. In the following days, search tasks were carried out that secured firearms, vests, ballistic evidence, and bone remains. It has been discovered that bodies were being burned on-site and then hidden beneath a slab and dirt.
Recently, the collective Warriors Seekers of Jalisco entered the location and found bone fragments in a new area within the site. Among the objects found is a notebook with a message written by a young man named Eduardo Lerma Nito, who wrote a love and farewell letter. It has been reported that Eduardo, missing since February 2024, was returned to his family after the seizure of the Izaguirre Ranch.
Additionally, this weekend, a young man from Zacatecas arrived at the New Central Bus Station in Tlaquepaque, having escaped from a false job offer. At 15 years old and originally from Durango, the boy requested help after being exploited and not receiving payment or food. He was assisted by specialized agents assigned to search for missing persons.
The Izaguirre Ranch, located in Teuchitlán, has been a place where burned human remains and belongings of young people who were forcibly recruited have been found. 400 clothing items, pairs of shoes, suitcases, 96 shell casings of various calibers, three magazines, metal restraining rings, books, a notebook, and an electoral ID have been discovered. The authorities of Jalisco are thoroughly investigating the past intervention at the Izaguirre Ranch and the responsibilities derived from it.
