PRI Plans Renewal Ahead of 2027 Elections

The state leader of the PRI, José Luis Garza Ochoa, expressed his support for a possible alliance with the PAN in the state. He emphasized that the coalition is not just about political parties, but about an effort to save the state from the situation it is currently in under the Movimiento Ciudadano and eventually Morena.

Garza Ochoa commented that the alliance is essential to achieve equitable representation and that both the PRI and the PAN have obtained important positions thanks to this collaboration. He stressed the importance of building the alliance together, not just by the PRI's decision, and expressed the desire to participate in the coalition in all municipalities and districts.

The PRI leader emphasized the need to strengthen democracy and completely renew the party, seeking active participation from citizens. He pointed out that it is essential to expand and strengthen existing social programs, especially in light of the current situation in the country.

Garza Ochoa also informed about the process of renewing the 51 municipal committees of the PRI in the state, as part of the preparation for the elections of 2027. He highlighted the importance of women's and youth participation in politics, stating that at least 50% of committee presidents will be women and 35% will be under 35 years old.

The PRI leader announced that the call for candidates' registration has been opened, which will take place on March 25. The goal is to guarantee transparency and allow all party members to participate in this renewal process.
