The Mexican Parliament approved an amendment to the constitution for strengthening the country's sovereignty and responding to foreign interference in response to the decision of U.S. President Donald Trump to include six Mexican narcotics in the list of terrorist organizations.

In connection with this, the leader of Mexico warned that her country does not allow "American invasion" in the fight against drug trafficking. The amendment to the constitution, which was approved on Tuesday, states that "Mexico does not accept, nor under any circumstances, foreign interference" and was supported by a significant majority - 417 votes in favor and 36 against. This amendment to the constitution was supported by leftist President Claudia Sheinbaum in response to her American colleague's decision.
