Controversy over 'Shrek 5' and voice changes

Actor and comedian Eugenio Derbez revealed that he might not be part of the fifth installment of the movie 'Shrek' due to disagreements with the new producers of DreamWorks Animation. In an interview with Gaby Meza, Derbez explained that the current employees of the production company are not the same ones he collaborated with previously and demanded freedom to adapt the script for the Latin American audience.

'I am in talks with them; a few weeks ago, it was announced that Alfonso Obregón, who voiced the famous character of the green ogre, will also not be part of the fifth installment. Those who knew me, who understood my value as a Latin American, are no longer there,' commented the Mexican actor, suggesting that the new executives at DreamWorks may not be willing to concede in that aspect.

Derbez also mentioned that he has felt belittled in various companies where managers have extreme and discriminatory attitudes towards men. In another interview with Jeffar Vlogs, the actor confessed that personal problems have led him to be banned from some companies, which has affected him professionally.

Regarding the future of the 'Shrek' franchise, fans will be eager to know what will happen with the voices of the iconic characters in the fifth movie. The release of the trailer for the new installment generated controversy on social media, where the graphics and the absence of the original voice actors, such as Alfonso Obregón and Eugenio Derbez, were criticized.

We will await more updates on the cast and details of 'Shrek 5' to keep fans informed about these unexpected changes in the popular animated franchise.
