The family relationship of the Mexican singer Ana Bárbara is going through difficult times, as she is facing problems with several members of her family. Her brother Francisco Ugalde sued her in 2023 for not giving him credit in several of her songs, including the popular song "Te busqué." In response, Ana Bárbara filed a countersuit for violence in April 2024.
In addition to the conflicts with her brother, in the same year her mother, María de Lourdes Motta, made public a letter expressing her distance from the singer. She also supported the accusations of her grandchildren, who pointed out that Ana Bárbara's husband, Ángel Muñoz, used inappropriate methods to discipline them.
Recently, Ana Bárbara's father, Don Antero Ugalde, who used to be her representative at the beginning of her career, gave an interview on the YouTube program of Javier Ceriani. In the interview, Don Antero expressed his pain over the estrangement from his daughter and described her as "cold and calculating." He also accused her of having him sent to be beaten, saying: "Pancho was about to come beat me up because of her; when I wanted to go to the media to speak, she didn't like it, so she threw Pancho and his mom at me."
Don Antero assured that what happened is many years old and is convinced of his statements. So far, Ana Bárbara has not responded to her father's controversial statements.
