He reported having suffered workplace harassment and mentioned an incident he described as a kidnapping in the offices, where he had to bear medical expenses on his own. He indicated that he requested around 500,000 pesos as a settlement, but the company rejected his request. He denied attempting to extort the company and requested compensation for his years of work and support for pending medical expenses.
In response to accusations of extortion, theft, and misappropriation of audiovisual material made by Javier Tejado Dondé, coordinator of the group "El Palomar", Germán Gómez clarified that his only purpose was to receive fair compensation for his work at Televisa, as he worked for eight years without a legal contract or employment benefits. He explained that he never demanded an excessive payment and dismissed the accusations against him, reiterating his intention for his work to be recognized and for him to receive what is due after his tacit dismissal from the company.
Regarding reactions on social media, Germán Gómez expressed his satisfaction in observing that the audience is becoming increasingly informed and sensitive regarding mental health issues, identifying discriminatory acts. He also urged Tejado to provide evidence for the accusations of stolen equipment to include in his labor complaint against Televisa. Finally, he mentioned that he never requested a million-dollar payment, as was erroneously attributed to him, and hopes that his situation with the company is resolved fairly.
