The President of Mexico, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, supported the report provided by the Attorney General of the Republic, Alejandro Gertz Manero, regarding the investigations at the Izaguirre Ranch in Teuchitlán, Jalisco. According to the report, there is no evidence of cremation of people at that location. Although the president supported the FGR report, she emphasized that for her government, the truth is the most important thing, urging that the information provided by groups of people searchers, especially Guerreros Buscadores de Jalisco, who have highlighted this recruitment center, be considered.
In a letter sent by the search group, it is claimed that there are images that support the version of the burning of bodies at the site. In light of this discrepancy in the accounts, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo mentioned that a meeting requested by the group of searching mothers will be held on June 3 to clarify the situation. Additionally, more information from the FGR is awaited.
The group Guerreros Buscadores de Jalisco shared a video with satellite images, dated February 22, 2019, showing a column of black smoke coming from the Izaguirre Ranch. According to the collective, these images demonstrate the presence of ashes and a dense black plume at the location where subsequent clandestine crematories were found. The Searchers have described this evidence as scientific and replicable, urging for a deeper investigation.
The Guerreras Buscadoras de Jalisco claim that the black smoke observed comes from the combustion of hydrocarbons used at the ranch to dispose of human remains, a practice they consider unacceptable.
