The Attorney General's Office of the State of Oaxaca (FGEO) achieved a sentence of 96 years in prison for José Alberto R.R., who was found guilty of murdering and setting fire to his ex-partner, a 17-year-old teenager, and a 10-month-old baby. The tragic event took place on June 28, 2020, on the hill "El Mexicano" in the City of Ejutla de Crespo, during the pandemic.

According to the criminal case, José Alberto R.R. physically assaulted María Concepción A.C. and her child until they lost their lives. Subsequently, he set fire to the bodies of the victims. The prosecution obtained two convictions against him: 30 years in prison for qualified homicide and 66 years and 8 months for aggravated feminicide against María Concepción A.C., totaling 96 years and 8 months in prison. Additionally, he was imposed a fine and ordered to pay for damage compensation.

The FGEO, acting within its legal powers, carried out the necessary investigations through the Regional Deputy Attorney General's Office of Central Valleys, which led to the arrest of José Alberto R.R. The Trial Court issued the conviction after evaluating the evidence presented in the hearing. The prosecution reaffirmed its commitment to apply the current Penal Code of the State in cases like this to ensure justice.
