Journalist Manuel Pedrero announces the publication of new audios related to the Zedillos, accompanied by the lost file of the presidential family for this Wednesday, May 7 at 4 PM. This has provoked criticism from the right and reactionaries.
According to Supreme Court minister candidate César Gutiérrez Priego, the first audios link Zedillo's wife, Nilda Patricia Velasco, to the Colima Cartel. In these recordings, allegedly made by his father, General Jesús Gutiérrez Rebollo, a woman known as "La Tía" is heard discussing logistical and financial operations with alleged drug traffickers. Gutiérrez Priego claims that Zedillo ordered the detention of his father to cover up these links.
These new indications add to the media comeback of the former president, generating controversy on social media. Manuel Pedrero predicts that the new audios will continue to question Zedillo's alleged relationships with organized crime, especially the links to his wife.
The journalist details that previous audios have been questioned by some political sectors, but now he has the file that supports their authenticity, with expert evaluations of the 30 cassettes and transcripts of the audios. The new information will be available on his YouTube channel.
So far, neither the Zedillo family nor the authorities have confirmed the legitimacy of the audios nor has a formal investigation been initiated; however, the public controversy surrounding the case persists.
