The Secretary of the Interior, Rosa Icela Rodríguez, stated that there is no reason to maintain the blockades and demonstrations by agricultural producers and transporters, as dialogue is open. "In these last three weeks, there have been more than 200 meetings with the Ministry of Agriculture with agricultural producers, and 300 meetings with transport leaders, at work tables with the National Guard and the Infrastructure Secretariat to guarantee security on highways," she assured at a press conference this Monday regarding the blockades and demonstrations by agricultural producers and transporters across the country. Rosa Icela thanked a list of transport organizations that did not join the blockade and called on those who did to a dialogue table this Monday at 13:00; and asked not to obstruct the right to free transit on roads to avoid affecting the population.
