Mexico Ignores Inter-American Court of Human Rights Ruling

The Inter-American Court ordered Mexico to change its laws and compensate victims, but the country's authorities are not complying with the ruling.


The Inter-American Court of Human Rights (Corte IDH) ruled that Mexico must cease the application of pretrial detention and house arrest, fully repair the damage to the victims, adjust its legislation, and disseminate the ruling. However, according to Hernández León, state institutions have decided to ignore these obligations.
