Senator Praises President for Social Agreements, Criticizes State Policies

The senator commented on achievements at the federal level and criticized the state's policies. He praised President Claudia Sheinbaum for her leadership, especially for her ability to engage in dialogue with workers, employers, entrepreneurs, and producers. Through this dialogue, two valuable things were achieved for the country: an increase in the minimum wage and a reduction of the workday to 40 hours. On the other hand, the senator believes that the government of Nuevo León is trying to impose an increase in the Payroll Tax without dialogue or agreements with the state's business and productive sectors. He emphasized that this is not the best time for such an increase, and it will never be a good moment when we attack formal employment. The senator called on Governor Samuel García to 'take an example from the leadership of President Sheinbaum' and opt for dialogue as a tool to build solutions that will strengthen the state's economy and improve the working conditions of the people of Nuevo León. 'I hope Governor Samuel García takes the President's example and builds bridges with those who generate employment,' stated Fernández González. 'Today, all business organizations are coming together to manifest their repudiation of this increase. He considers it a regressive tax that will directly affect formal employment.'
