Although it went unnoticed, a week ago, Evelyn's father, Félix Salgado, said in an interview with a local medium that he will be a candidate for governor in 2027. The interview was with the newspaper El Sur de Acapulco, whose owner is a friend of Salgado. This deployment would be the basis of his project in Guerrero. During last year's presidential campaign, he had a central role, but in the final stretch, he was sidelined due to supposed disagreements with other actors in the presidential environment. Hours after the interview, upon understanding that the statement was a head-on collision with the anti-nepotism rules promoted by Claudia Sheinbaum, the senator asked for the note to be taken down. But in the Palace, his words were recorded, which were also accompanied by the conviction that only the governor's father would be able to ensure governability in a state besieged by organized crime.
