Today's decision leaves Nuevo León without a budget for 2026, ignoring civil society, business chambers, autonomous bodies, and all those who work to solve problems and improve the quality of life for the people of this state.

Morena and PT, in turn, expressed their vote against the 2026 Fiscal Package for not meeting the vision, social sense, and humanism for the people of Nuevo León.

"Unfortunately, we are not surprised that he 'grants vacations' just to evade his obligations and responsibilities to Nuevo León," they stated.

The spending proposed for 2026 must be geared towards inclusion and social cohesion, where these resources guarantee the materialization of the rights enshrined in the Constitution and close the structural gaps that neoliberal governments have created for years against the least favored," they added.

The approved text does not include tax increases, the creation of new levies, nor does it contemplate taking on debt.

On Wednesday, the Institutional Revolutionary Party (PRI) launched an attack on Governor Samuel García and demanded that he approve the budget being discussed by the local Congress.

Deputy Anylú Bendición Hernández pointed out that the budget must be directed towards the transformation of the State, where social justice and collective well-being positively impact the lives of its inhabitants and directly addresses the population in a situation of vulnerability.

«Once again, Samuel García breaks his word and violates the Law, since the Official State Gazette must operate PERMANENTLY,» attacked local deputy Lorena De la Garza, who is usually one of the legislators most critical of the Executive Branch.

The complaint comes after the State announced that, as of today and until January 6, the Official State Gazette (POE) will not operate, and therefore the decrees issued by the Congress regarding the 2026 Fiscal Package will not be published. They stated that the legislative process would continue.
