The Governor of Nuevo León, Samuel García Sepúlveda, announced that the National Urban Public Security Survey (ENSU), conducted quarterly by INEGI, revealed that Fuerza Civil has maintained its first place nationally as the state police force with the most citizen confidence. Leading the Security Table accompanied by the Secretary of Government, Miguel Ángel Flores Serna, and the head of Fuerza Civil, Gerardo Escamilla Vargas, the state governor emphasized that today the new Fuerza Civil is the police force with the most trust at the national level. «With all the work of these four years, with the historic investment, with the creation of the new Civil Force, its helicopters, its personnel, its recruitment, we have managed to turn the situation around, and there is a survey released today by the ENSU where now 70% of Nuevo León feels safe,» he added. The Governor called on all political actors in Nuevo León to continue improving and to reach this year the goal of 80% of Nuevo León feeling safe. This is the third consecutive edition of the survey in which Fuerza Civil remains the state police with the highest citizen confidence in the country, taking the average of the municipalities evaluated in each federal entity. This result is added to the National Survey of Victimization and Public Security Perception (ENVIPE), which has a much broader sample, where Fuerza Civil also stood out as the best-evaluated state police force in Mexico in terms of citizen confidence. The Governor shared these results at the Peace Building Table meeting held at the State Government Palace, with the presence of the metropolitan mayors and the heads and delegates in Nuevo León of the Defense, National Guard, Federal Secretary of Security and Citizen Protection, Attorney General of the Republic, National Intelligence Center, as well as the Attorney General's Office of Nuevo León and the State Investigation Agency. During the Nuevo León Informa, the state head announced that this year the National Guard will build six new detachments in the municipalities of Apodaca, García, Cadereyta, China, Montemorelos and Doctor Arroyo. «We have to close ranks, we have to continue improving in the area of public security, and I have no doubt that we will close 2026 better than 2025,» he expressed.
