The organization 'Somos México' reported that it concluded the process of holding district assemblies, reaching a total of 246, which is higher than the 200 required by the electoral authority to advance in its registration as a National Political Party. Additionally, it ensured that the determination of 'women, men, and young people who face a regime of illegality, abuses, and unconstitutional majorities, embraced and financed by drug trafficking and 'huachicol' makes this achievement more significant'. 'The effort of all the people who participated as volunteers throughout the country is invaluable; even with the shadow of tolerated and criminal violence promoted by Morena, they took to the streets to call on citizens to join Somos México,' it stated. It detailed that the assemblies were held in municipalities and states with high violence rates, including Fresnillo, Zacatecas; Acapulco and Chilpancingo, Guerrero; Culiacán and Mazatlán, Sinaloa; Reynosa, Tamaulipas; Uruapan and Morelia, Michoacán; Xalapa and Poza Rica, Veracruz; Tuxtla Gutiérrez, Palenque, and Comitán, Chiapas; Hermosillo and Cajeme, Sonora; Tijuana and Mexicali, Baja California; Colima, Oaxaca, Tepic, Durango, Celaya, León, and Guanajuato; Tula and Pachuca, Hidalgo; as well as Cuernavaca and Jiutepec, Morelos, among other localities. The district assemblies elected their delegates to the Constituent National Assembly, scheduled for next Saturday, February 21, in Mexico City, a prior step in the procedure to formally request registration as a national political party before the INE. In its message, the organization thanked sympathizers from the 31 entities of the Republic and the municipalities of Mexico City and stated that it will be on the '2027 ballot' when it will participate 'in state and federal elections with its own candidates to reaffirm its registration as a National Political Party, but also with the commitment to promote unity processes, supporting opposition candidates to defeat Morena and its allies'. Looking towards 2030, the group indicated that it will seek to 'form a great unity call to create a Broad National Opposition Front' that will allow 'oust Morena from the Presidency of the Republic and obtain a legislative majority in both chambers and the governorships in the States'. 'Mexico will not continue to be subordinate to the criminal governance that today dispatches from the National Palace, from the Chamber of Deputies and Senators, and from the Governments of the States and Municipalities, governed by Morena and its satellites,' the communiqué concludes.
