Former Mexican President Vicente Fox Quesada will undertake a small tour in Nuevo León on March 24, where he will hold various meetings with business leaders. According to information obtained by LPO, the former president will present his agenda on citizen participation, calling for industrialists and civil society to have an increasingly greater role in electoral organization, with a view towards 2030. It should be recalled that the former head of state has long been detached from political parties and maintains a front against the current federalism and the 4T (Fourth Transformation). For months, he has advocated for non-partisan participation and even celebrated that the PAN (National Action Party) has opened its party to citizen candidacies for the 2027 elections, a party with which he broke ties over a decade ago. In fact, he initially involved former CCE (Business Coordinating Council) coordinator Carlos Salazar Lomelín, and there was speculation about Fox's support for the local association 'Regio Poder', which also promotes non-partisan participation. However, Salazar Lomelín, still aligned with the 4T, distanced himself from the former president's tour. Additionally, Fox Quesada will also put on the table his personal agenda, where he recently sold his company 'Paradise' to foreign capital. Local opposition considers that he also comes to analyze, together with the businessmen, the electoral situation in Nuevo León, where Morena is increasing its brand while the PRI and PAN show a contrasting decline. However, PAN sources suggest that they will not intervene in the former president's tour either. This occurs one day before the visit of President Claudia Sheinbaum to the same state, and her agenda will be similar as she will open the Annual Assembly of Caintra and is expected to have a private meeting with various industrialists.
