The Security Cabinet of Omar García Harfuch reported the detention of 'Milo', an operator and financier of a criminal group, during the morning of this Monday, April 6, in Quintana Roo. Remigio 'N' has an extradition order to the United States for human trafficking and organized crime, added the Government of Mexico in a statement. The Mexican Security Cabinet reported that the subject was arrested along with another person following intelligence and investigation work. In Quintana Roo, elements of the Navy, the FGR, the SSPC, Defense, the National Guard, and the Quintana Roo Citizen Security Secretariat detained two members of a transnational criminal group, including Remigio 'N', alias 'Milo', a priority target and operational coordinator and financier of the group. During the operation, 38 doses of marijuana and a gray pickup truck were secured. The Security Cabinet added that after verifying his identity, Remigio 'N' was transferred by air to Mexico City to continue the extradition process. The operation involved elements from the Secretariats of the Navy (Semar), Security and Citizen Protection (SSPC), National Defense (Defense), along with the National Guard, and the State Citizen Security Secretariat. Since February 2025 and until the last report from the Government of Mexico, dated March 23, thanks to the 'Northern Border' operation—agreed upon with President Donald Trump to avoid tariffs for Mexico—12,775 people have been detained and 133.6 tons of drugs have been seized, including nearly 607 kilograms of fentanyl. As part of that operation, at the end of March, Navy agents detained six people on a vessel with 650 kilograms of cocaine, more than 112 kilometers from the port of Lázaro Cárdenas. The Security Cabinet reported that the merchandise was seized within the framework of maritime operations deployed by security forces, who located six people on a small vessel with illicit cargo thanks to intelligence information provided by the United States. They seized four burlap-type sacks containing 580 brick-type packages with a white powder similar to cocaine hydrochloride, with an approximate weight of 650 kilograms, as well as 350 liters of fuel, according to the authorities.
