The accused will remain in a penitentiary center in Mérida, Yucatán. A judge imposed a preventive prison order while his legal situation is defined. The Attorney General's Office (FGR) reported the detention in Yucatán of a man accused of his probable participation in crimes related to the production and distribution of child sexual abuse material. According to the agency, the investigation began last November after a complaint was filed by Australian authorities, who detected content allegedly generated in Mexican territory. It was detected that a national was possibly selling material with child sexual abuse content. The investigations, carried out in coordination with international authorities and with the support of the Secretariat of Security and Citizen Protection, made it possible to identify Josué Raúl “N”, who would have operated for approximately 10 years through social networks. According to the Prosecutor's Office, the accused “would have used various social networks to lure girls, boys, and adolescents with the purpose of video recording them in sexual acts” and later commercialize the material on digital platforms. The arrest warrant was executed in a home located in the Mulchechen neighborhood, in the municipality of Kanasín, where elements of the SSPC and the Secretariat of the Navy participated. During the operation, electronic devices such as cell phones, tablets, SIM cards, and memories were secured. The Federal Public Ministry formulated a charge for the crime of aggravated human trafficking.
