In its statement, the institution reported that a specialized team has been formed to work in coordination to clarify the facts and determine responsibilities; it also reiterated that the case will not go unpunished. In a separate incident in Michoacan, an armed attack in the municipality of Jaco left five men dead inside a grocery store located in the Lázaro Cárdenas neighborhood. According to preliminary information, armed individuals arrived at the establishment and opened fire on the people inside, then fled the scene. The aggression mobilized municipal, state, and federal corporations. At the site, paramedics confirmed the death of four victims, while another died later in a hospital due to the severity of the injuries. Among the deceased are Andrés “N”, 35 years old; Juan Carlos “N”, 31; and Pablo Luis “N”, 24, who died while receiving medical attention. During the processing of the scene, experts secured dozens of spent casings of different calibers, which were integrated into the investigation file. State Prosecutor's personnel went to the place for the collection of evidence and the bodies; however, to date, a possible motive for the aggression has not been established. Both events add to the context of violence recorded in both entities, where armed aggressions against civilians have maintained the attention of security and justice authorities.
