The National Coordination of Scholarships for Well-being continues to operate various social programs focused on supporting students at different educational levels in public schools across the country. These scholarships aim to reduce school dropout rates and provide financial support to Mexican families and the students themselves. Below are the main active supports, their amounts, and who they are aimed at. Beca Rita Cetina: universal support for basic education. One of the most recent and far-reaching programs is the Beca Rita Cetina, aimed at students in basic education. This support has two modalities: Public primary school (per scholarship holder): Annual amount of 2,500 pesos. Public preschool, primary, and secondary school (Universal scholarship): Bimonthly amount of 1,900 pesos, plus an additional 700 pesos for each extra child in the family. This program is focused on girls and boys enrolled in public schools, and the application must be made by the mother, father, or legal guardian of the student. Currently, this scheme benefits more than 7.2 million scholarship holders at the primary level and more than 8.2 million in basic education in general. This program seeks to guarantee school continuity at the upper secondary level, one of the points where most young people drop out of their studies. Jóvenes Escribiendo el Futuro: university support. For students at the higher education level in public institutions, the Jóvenes Escribiendo el Futuro program provides a higher financial support. Bimonthly amount: 5,800 pesos. Beneficiaries: enrolled university students. Application: made by the student themselves. This support is mainly aimed at young people in an economic vulnerability situation. According to the official disbursement calendar of the Becas Bienestar, payments for the March-April 2026 bimester are made staggeredly. In the case of the Beca Rita Cetina, the disbursement of support began on Wednesday, April 1, 2026, starting with surnames beginning with A and B, and extends until Thursday, April 16, when disbursement concludes for all beneficiaries, following the alphabetical order of the first surname. Meanwhile, the Beca Benito Juárez, along with the higher education programs, starts its deposits from Monday, April 13, and until Friday, April 24, also under the same letter scheme, with the objective of organizing the delivery and avoiding saturation of the banking system.
