The President of the State Congress, Pavel Gaspar Ramírez, reiterated the call to legislators interested in participating in the 2027 elections to respect electoral timelines and prioritize the fulfillment of their current duties. At a press conference, the parliamentary leader of Morena reiterated the call from Mexico's President, Claudia Sheinbaum Pardo, who asked public officials to wait for the established times before expressing political aspirations. Gaspar Ramírez emphasized that although the Congress is currently in recess, legislators must do territorial work, that is, maintain closeness with the citizenry in their districts. "Let's wait for the times. There is still a year before these issues are opened; today we must focus on legislative work and on getting closer to the people," he expressed. The statement was joined by the president of the State Council of Morena, Andrés Villegas Mendoza, who supported the call and considered that it should apply to all political actors.
