After two years of conflict between the Executive and Legislative branches of Nuevo León, the State Government has published 220 agreements sent by the Congress to demonstrate a new relationship between both entities. The president of the Board of Directors of the Legislature, Lorena de la Garza, met with the State Executive to request the publication of 48 decrees and 444 agreements, which were finally published in the Official State Newspaper.
The state administration highlighted that this publication is a significant advancement to maintain open communication and promote coordinated work between the two powers. It was mentioned that these publications are just the beginning, as other matters are being reviewed due to the existence of injunctions and Constitutional Controversies before the Supreme Court of the nation, promoted by both the Legislative and the Executive branches. Once the analysis is completed, the pending publications will continue.
Additionally, it was discovered that some documents from the Congress were not sent to the Executive, so additional information will be needed as they lack the received stamp. On the other hand, Lorena de la Garza delivered a letter at the Government Palace addressed to Governor Samuel García and the General Secretariat of Government, along with copies of the decrees and agreements pending publication.
De la Garza explained that this action was aimed at ensuring compliance with the constitutional obligation of the Executive to publish these documents, some of which address urgent issues such as security and mobility.
