The government of Tabasco, through its spokesman Fernando Vázquez, reported that state and federal forces have reinforced their operations to capture those responsible for the violent incidents recorded on Tuesday afternoon. The population was urged to provide information anonymously at 089.
Videos were spread on social media showing vehicles and businesses on fire in Villahermosa, Tabasco. At noon, there were reports of looting and burning of an OXXO in the La Manga II neighborhood. It is worth noting that social media users shared images of cars affected by the "tire slashers."
According to local reports, a group of at least six men on motorcycles arrived at the scene of an incident to rob and subsequently set fire to the location. Other incidents included the burning of a soft drink distribution truck in the Río Tinto ranch and two public service vans in the municipality of Nacajuca.
Authorities have urged citizens to use the anonymous reporting number 089 to provide information that could help clarify these violent events and ensure safety in the region.
