Governor and Legislators Trapped in Elevator

Ruben Rocha Moya, governor of Sinaloa, and Ricardo Monreal, president of the Political Coordination Board, were trapped in an elevator at the Chamber of Deputies before a "private" meeting for which no further details were provided. Other legislators were also in the elevator with them.

After the malfunction was detected, technicians on-site and members of Civil Protection acted immediately to resolve the situation and managed to unlock the door to free the 11 people trapped, bringing them out one by one.

Once rescued, videos show that the legislators were evacuated until Rocha Moya and Monreal finally emerged.

"The holy child of Atocha is great. He trapped us in the truth and gave us time to chat," expressed the deputy upon exiting the elevator and heading to the previously scheduled meeting.

Despite the technical incident, no further complications were reported, with Monreal even commenting that they were "very comfortable" with the legislators who shared their moment of being trapped in the elevator.
