Fey Addresses Gender Roles in Recent Interview

The singer Fey revealed in a recent interview that she does not consider herself a feminist and expressed her gratitude for the things men do for women. In her statements, Fey mentioned that women are responsible for raising men and then complain about how they are. She expressed her discontent with the word feminist, believing that women should not complain about men, as they are the ones who raise them to be a certain way.

During an interview on Marco Antonio Regil's program on Radio Fórmula, Fey shared that she did not receive a traditional education where men were taught to do certain things and women others. Despite not identifying as a feminist, the singer emphasized that she remains an independent woman, as she has learned to be fine on her own and not rely on others for her happiness.

Fey recommended learning to enjoy solitude and not burden others with the responsibility of making us happy. In her own words, "We have to teach them to be a gentleman, so that we have gentlemen." She also opined that it is important to teach men to respect themselves and to earn respect, considering that sometimes some women attack them without justified reasons, which could be due to traumas from past relationships.

The singer emphasized the importance of not delegating to others the responsibility for our own happiness, as each individual is responsible for their emotional well-being. Although Fey's statements have received support from some users, others have pointed out that despite her denial of gender social roles, she has still suggested that women have the responsibility to educate men.
