Claudio X. González Responds to Claudia Sheinbaum

The magnate Claudio X. González responded to the comments of President Claudia Sheinbaum after she called him 'toxic junior'. On social media, González expressed that he had endured six years of criticism and slander from AMLO, and now it was her turn. Emphasizing his independent career from that of his father, Claudio X. González Laporte, the businessman questioned Sheinbaum's ability to openly confront the last three presidents regarding authoritarianism, corruption, and abuses.

"Does she really think a 'junior' would have the courage to openly confront the last three presidents regarding their authoritarianism, corruption, abuses, and incompetence?", González expressed. Adding that 'juniors' generally hide behind their privileges or in the shadow of their parents. He also highlighted that his father built a business by himself, implying that the term 'junior' would not apply to him.

On the other hand, Sheinbaum accused González of being a 'rich kid' seeking to 'command' the Supreme Court of Justice of the Nation in the context of discussions regarding the reform of the Judiciary. The president criticized the businessman’s arguments about the reform, arguing that it would not endanger the rule of law as he claims, but rather be an advancement in the country's justice.

The confrontation between González and Sheinbaum intensified with the government leader of Mexico City questioning the magnate's relationship with the PRIAN and his inability to contradict his 'political father' and his 'destructive' positions. The controversy between the two has highlighted the political differences and opposing viewpoints regarding the direction of the country and its institutions.
