After the recent meeting of the transition government led by Pablo Lemus and part of his social cabinet, in which the listening to groups of families of missing persons was addressed, the elected governor explained that he is aware of the discontent of certain leaders of other associations and asked for patience. He committed to considering all search groups for missing persons in the state to continue with dialogue and advisory workshops, with the aim of identifying key profiles for the new Secretariat of Intelligence and Search.
"We must be patient and remain calm; it is crucial to listen to the opinions of all the groups and families of the victims of disappearance. Together we will make decisions. Yesterday's meeting was very productive. We still have next week to keep listening to them and reach a collective determination on the continuity or not of the profiles," Lemus commented.
In the first meeting held on October 29, groups such as Luz de Esperanza, Desaparecidos Jalisco, and Por Amor a Ellos were not present; however, it was confirmed that they will participate in the upcoming sessions. "These groups have been part of our dialogues for 9 years. There are around 25 groups that are being invited, and it was decided to hold two separate meetings to address the issues more closely and in depth. In the next meeting, these two groups will participate, among others," he stated.
