The reconciliation between local deputies and Governor Samuel García hangs by a thread, as legislators are considering abandoning the dialogue restored a week ago, after accusing the Executive of failing to comply with agreements. Lorena de la Garza, president of the Board of the Congress, pointed to Javier Navarro, Secretary General of Government, as responsible for interfering in the negotiations.
"He is the worst interlocutor; if Samuel García wants the Congress to approve debt for 2025, he must change the interlocutor," expressed De la Garza. The PRI member mentioned that if Navarro continues as an intermediary, the deputies might withdraw from the negotiations between the Executive and Legislative, which were restarted last week following a meeting at the Government Palace.
De la Garza added that if the governor wants to have a more effective political relationship with the deputies, he has the worst possible interlocutor. "My suggestion to the governor is to change the interlocutor and ask for the dismissal of his Secretary General of Government."
Regarding the publication of agreements and decrees approved by the Congress, it was reported this Wednesday that the Government will not publish them in the Official Newspaper for the moment. "There is no legal impediment for the executive to fulfill its obligation to publish the missing agreements and decrees, both from the previous legislature and the current one," pointed out De la Garza.
The legislator described the actions of the Secretary General of Government as a resistance to reach agreements between the powers, lamenting that it goes against what is correct according to the law.
