Research professor Gustavo Vega from El Colegio de México expressed his opinion on the upcoming renegotiation of the Mexico-United States-Canada Agreement (USMCA). He pointed out the importance of maintaining an optimistic stance and that the Mexican government should prepare for proposals that may arise during the process.
Vega emphasized the relevance of being prepared and having clear strategies to follow in the renegotiation of the treaty. He underscored that Mexico must present concrete proposals and solid arguments to defend its interests. In this regard, he highlighted the importance of preparation and anticipation on the part of the Mexican government.
In his statements, the researcher emphasized the need for a proactive attitude and to seek mutual benefits for the parties involved in the T-MEC renegotiation. He also stressed the importance of maintaining a constructive and open dialogue during the process, with the aim of reaching agreements that favor Mexico and its trading partners.
