Last night, Professor Rigoberto Martínez Sandoval was murdered in front of the Normal School of Villa Putla de Guerrero. He was also part of the technical direction and coach of the Triqui children from Oaxaca.
Rigoberto Martínez, a teacher and director of the basketball academy 'Rigo's Oaxaca' and a member of the Movement for the Unification of Triqui Struggle (MULT), lost his life at the hands of armed assailants, according to the Attorney General's Office of the State of Oaxaca through the Regional Prosecutor's Office of the Mixteca.
The MULT community has demanded justice for this crime, stating in a press release that the perpetrators are hiding in the area and calling for clarification of this violent act.
This tragic event has shocked the community, necessitating a prompt investigation and measures to ensure safety in the region, in addition to honoring the memory of Rigoberto Martínez Sandoval, who left a legacy as a teacher and sports leader in Oaxaca.
